Quality of life for your dog and for you.

."

Do you offer boarding?

We offer boarding (Structured Stay) only to clients who have completed one of our training programs. Our Structured Stay option is exactly what it sounds like! We will maintain all of the training that your dog knows while he/she is staying with us.

What is the difference between Structured Stay and Board&Train?

Structured Stay: we will maintain the rules/structure/training that your dog already knows. This option is great for shorter stays (less than one week).

Board&Train: we will actively work with your dog on a specific training goal/goals. This could be a refresher of training we’ve done before or new commands/concepts, such as off-leash reliability.

Who provides the food for my dog’s stay?

You are responsible for providing enough food for your dog’s stay, as well as specific feeding instructions.

What should I bring with me for my dog’s stay?

Clients are asked to bring enough food for their dog’s stay, any medications their dog may be on, and a deposit if your dog is here for our Board&Train program. We ask clients to keep it as minimal as possible! We provide food/water bowls, crates, blankets, beds, toys, etc. so there is no need for you to provide any of those items unless otherwise advised.

What vaccinations are required for my dog's stay?

We require rabies vaccinations. All other vaccinations are optional. Flea/Tick preventatives are highly recommended.

How long will my dog need to stay for Board and Train?

Our primary Board&Train programs are 19 and 26 day programs. In some cases, we will recommend a longer stay. This is very dog dependent, but some cases that usually warrant more than 19 days include dog or human aggression, resource guarding, severe anxiety, or fearful cases. Our 19 day program is an on-leash program and does not guarantee off-leash reliability. If off-leash obedience is a goal of yours, our 26 day program (or more) is highly recommended.

Will my dog feel like I abandoned them or forget who I am?

Nope! We’ve been providing Board&Train services for over seven years now, and there has never been a dog that wasn’t over the moon to be reunited with their owner after their program.

Can I visit my dog during the program?

Visitations are prohibited unless otherwise recommended and scheduled by your trainer.

Will my dog still behave for me once they come home from Board&Train?

After B&T, your dog will have a foundation of obedience commands, structure, and a communication system. Our trainer will send you information and do a lesson with you at drop off to teach you what your dog has learned and how to continue to reinforce everything and build upon everything. The results you get from training programs are highly dependent on your level of commitment to reinforcing everything at home. For example, if your dog ignores a command and you allow them to do so without any consequence or follow-through, your dog will quickly learn that they can ignore you when you ask something of them. Clients who stay consistent get consistent results. We are still here to support you after your dog’s program and you are welcome to schedule follow-up lessons as needed.

Is equipment included in the price of the program?

Typically, some equipment is included. Equipment is included on a case by case basis/at our trainer’s discretion based on the training program and on the goals/needs that you and your trainer discuss before your program. Clients may also purchase additional equipment through us or ask us for brand recommendations when purchasing on their own.

How does virtual training work?

During Virtual Coaching, our trainer will coach you through how to make positive changes in your relationship with your dog and improve their behavior. These lessons are mainly discussion based but often involve demonstrations as well. This option is great for clients who would like to teach their dog themselves and have the time to invest in training their dogs whereas with Board&Train, our trainer teaches your dog and then teaches you how to reinforce and maintain what your dog has learned.
